Complete The Price of Independence (BTR Driver)
Single-life multi-transit run: Customs → Reserve → Woods → Lighthouse. +0.5 BTR Driver rep on completion clears the 0.4 Savior gate in one go.

SAVIOR TRAP — DO NOT COMPLETE Skier's Choose Your Friends Wisely. CYFW shares the same Customs → Reserve → Woods → Lighthouse transit chain as PoI and looks identical. Accepting CYFW is recoverable; completing it is not. Per the wiki: 'Completing this quest will make it impossible to complete the Savior ending route.' If you've already accepted CYFW from Skier, abandon it from your quest tracker before turning it in. Take BTR Driver's PoI. The rewards differ too — CYFW gives Skier rep + a T H I C C Weapon case but no BTR rep, so Savior dies silently.
Why this matters: Savior gates on BTR Driver standing ≥ 0.4. Completing The Price of Independence awards +0.5 BTR Driver rep in one shot, clearing the gate. Without it you're grinding rep passively via paid BTR rides (slow).
Prereq quest chain (do these first to unlock PoI):
1. Mechanic's A Helping Hand (gates BTR Driver access).
2. Prapor's Half-Empty → Stick in the Wheel chain.
3. BTR Driver: Battery Change → Protect the Sky → Discombobulate.
4. Discombobulate completion unlocks The Price of Independence (BTR Driver) AND simultaneously unlocks Skier's trap quest Choose Your Friends Wisely. Take BTR Driver's. Decline Skier's.
The PoI run itself is a single-life multi-transit raid. Bring 2 yellow flares. Path: Customs (grab letter, industrial plant 3F north building) → Reserve via Customs→Reserve transit (stash letter on Black Bishop 3F, broken crates west side) → Woods via Reserve→Woods transit (kill any 3 targets) → Lighthouse via Woods→Lighthouse transit (fire flares at train station warehouse + pier, kill 10 Scavs total across the run, extract from Lighthouse).
Critical rule: dying or extracting at any point before completing all objectives resets every objective except the letter pickup. Bring it once, do the whole run, extract from Lighthouse.
Reward: +85,400 EXP · +0.5 BTR Driver rep · 300,000 ₽ · unlocks Mechanic LL2 RSP-30 Blue barter and Mechanic LL3 Graphics card barter · All-Wheel Drive achievement.
Tick this step when the quest completes in-game and your BTR rep crosses 0.4.
