Boreas — Icebreaker

Mechanic asks you to investigate a distress signal from the Paradigm Shipping icebreaker. The poster spawns on Ground Zero at multiple locations — community sources cite the TerraGroup building staircase as the most common; wiki-verified images confirm exterior shed walls and indoor warehouse walls as additional spawn points.

Mechanic sends you to repair the cellular/radio tower by the Scav Bunker in the NW (top-left) corner of Woods. Interact with the white control panel at the tower's base (~10s) with a Toolset. You do NOT need to survive the raid after the repair completes for it to count.

Mechanic asks for the Paradigm Shipping documentation. It spawns as a red file folder on a table/desk inside the main hangar of the railway station, in the freight yard north of the Water Treatment Plant on Lighthouse.

Per the wiki, this step has two conditional branches based on prior story choices: the Prapor branch (hand over a lockbox) or the BTR Driver branch via Skier (deliver 200x 7.62x54mm BT ammo as a peace offering). You'll execute whichever path your earlier decisions dictate — no new choice is made here.

Per the wiki: completion of preceding Boreas chapter quests gates this step. Confirm transport with BTR Driver, then board the hovercraft at the Shoreline pier — the transit fee is 400,000₽ per attempt, paid from raid inventory.

Peacekeeper quest (Mechanic supplies the hacking device, but Peacekeeper is the quest giver). Repair three circuit breakers in the automation rooms on Icebreaker with a Toolset, then install the Local network hacking device in the central control room. Reward: +30,000 EXP.

Find the Nuclear power unit control log. Per the wiki, it spawns in the small automation room under the main engine room OR in the central control room. The automation room requires a per-raid-random keycode taken from a nearby cabin corkboard.

Unlock prerequisites on Icebreaker first: talk to the scientist via the level-1 intercom (east side of the ship), then reach the damaged door on level 3 and destroy its chain with an SZ-1 explosive charge. Then eliminate 30 Rogues — kills count on ANY location per the wiki (Lighthouse WTP is the easiest farm). Completing Stick to It unlocks direct Icebreaker map-select access.

Return to BTR Driver and ask about negotiations with the smugglers. Per the wiki, completing this quest unlocks Icebreaker in the location selection screen — no more Shoreline transit required for future runs.
