Take Price of Independence — NOT Choose Your Friends Wisely
After Discombobulate, BTR Driver and Skier each offer a sibling quest. Take ONLY BTR Driver's.

SAVIOR TRAP — CRITICAL. Skier's Choose Your Friends Wisely shares the exact same Customs→Reserve→Woods→Lighthouse transit chain as BTR Driver's The Price of Independence. The game does not warn you. Completing CYFW awards Skier rep instead of BTR Driver rep, which means you never hit the 0.4 BTR Driver standing required for Savior, and there's no second chance to earn it from this quest. If you complete Skier's version, the Savior ending is dead for this profile. Take BTR Driver's. Decline Skier.
After Discombobulate, two near-identical quests appear in your tracker — The Price of Independence from BTR Driver and Choose Your Friends Wisely from Skier. Both ask you to transit Customs → Reserve → Woods → Lighthouse and extract from Lighthouse. The objectives look almost the same. The givers are not. BTR Driver's version awards +0.5 BTR Driver rep — exactly what Savior needs to clear the 0.4 standing gate. Skier's version awards Skier rep instead, contributes nothing toward Savior, and silently locks you out.
Take the quest from BTR Driver. Do not click accept on Skier's offer. If you've already accepted Skier's by mistake, abandon it immediately from your quest tracker before turning it in — completion is what fails Savior, accepting alone is recoverable.
